Wilderness

LA8555 Advanced Landscape Planning and Design [2008 Capstone Studio]

Wilderness is not necessarily defined by physical components, but by the experience of the phenomena created by these elements. Through my capstone, I explore and capture a series of phenomena that collectively create an experience that pulls visitors out of their surroundings and into a wilderness. By selecting Hennepin County Medical Center as the location for my capstone, I also seek to draw parallels between the healing aspects of wilderness and of modern medicine.
